Maine Lobster Roll Recipe

This wonderful, easy recipe will have you redefining the way you eat lobster rolls. The delicious contrast between the hot buns with the cold meat and the rich flavors with the spicy, savory sauce will send you soaring to tastier heights.

  • 1 lb cooked lobster meat

  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise

  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice, fresh

  • 2 teaspoons fresh chives, chopped

  • 1/4 cup of celery, finely chopped (optional)

  • Sea salt

  • Freshly-ground black pepper

  • 4 top-split buns (brioche buns recommended)

  • 2 tablespoon unsalted butter

  • 1 bottle of Vatsana's Hot Sauce or Seafood Sauce

Let's begin the adventure:

  1. Tear the lobster meat into bite-sized pieces into a medium bowl.

  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, lemon juice, chives, celery, salt, and pepper.

  3. Gently toss the lobster with the dressing to coat all the meat. Refrigerate until chilled.

  4. Melt the butter on a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook one side of the buns for a minute or two until golden brown, then flip and cook the opposite side.

  5. Divide the lobster meat among the buns and serve immediately.
